The European Commission awarded a contract to Tilde to continue development of the CEF Automated Translation platform. The aim of the contract is to substantially improve the quality and coverage of machine translation services on the CEF AT platform. The European Commission plans to integrate the CEF AT platform into EU public services, helping European and national public administrations exchange information across language barriers and ensuring that all DSIs are multilingual.

To contribute to the further development of CEF Automated Translation, Tilde will lead the consortium for LOT 3 of the contract. The objective of activities in Lot 3 is to acquire additional language resources for improving the CEF AT platform and to provide related data refinement and processing services. Tilde is also a member of the consortium for the LOT 2 contract. The objective of this contract, led by DFKI, is to support, deepen, and extend the involvement of EU Member State public sector institutions in collecting language resources to improve the quality and coverage of the CEF AT platform

CEF Automated Translation is the heart of the eTranslation service; helping European and national public administrations exchange information across language barriers in the EU. The main purpose of the Automated Translation platform is to make all Digital Service Infrastructures (DSIs) multilingual.
