October 24, 2014

This week Tilde board chairmen Andrejs Vasiljevs participates in the eleventh biennial conference of the Association for Machine Translation in the Americas (AMTA-2014) in Vancouver, Canada.

In this conference A. Vasiljevs presents two different topics in the fiel of our MT technologies:

Machine Translation for e-Government: the Baltic Case (Andrejs Vasiļjevs, Rihards Kalniņš, Mārcis Pinnis, Raivis Skadiņš)

Real-world challenges in application of MT for localization: the Baltic case (Mārcis Pinnis, Raivis Skadiņš, Andrejs Vasiļjevs)

Furthermore, on 24th October Vasiljevs participates in a Technology Showcase of commercial and research-stage MT technology. The LetsMT® and TermUnity services have not been exhibited at previous AMTA conferences, therefore several use cases and solutions in government and several industries will be demonstrated.

AMTA is an association of researchers and users of machine translation technologies. It organizes conferences every other year to create a forum where people can exchange experiences and ideas to improve these technologies and use them more effectively.
