The 19th annual conference of the European Association for Machine Translation (EAMT 2016) will be held in Riga, Latvia, on May 30-June 1. Organized by Tilde, EAMT, and the University of Latvia, the event will bring together Europe's leading machine translation (MT) experts for three days of presentations and discussion on the state-of-the-art and the future of MT.

At the conference, dozens of speakers from across Europe and North America will gather to present their groundbreaking work in language technology.

Speakers and participants represent localization industry giants such as Welocalize, Star Group, Amplexor, and SDL; leading EU universities such as Dublin City University, University of Edinburg, LMU Munich, and University of Sheffield; and global online platforms like LexisNexis and Booking.com.

Sponsors for this year's EAMT conference are Star Group and Welocalize. Supporters of the event are ELRAApertium, and Springer.

The proceedings are published as a special issue of the Baltic Journal of Modern Computing, an open access journal indexed by Thomson Reuters Web of Science Core Collection. Selected papers will be published (in an extended version) in the Machine Translation journal. See more in the Call for Papers.
