Tilde Terminology plugin for SDL Trados Studio is available for you!
The plugin automatically analyses a source segment, identifies term candidates within it and looks up for translations on the fly. Tilde Terminology registered users get access to about 5 million standardised and reliable terms during translation. Users can create their terminology in the Tilde Terminology cloud and use it along with available terms.
A webinar hosted by TAUS (Translation Automation User Society) on September 24 will showcase the machine translation service developed by Tilde for the 2015 EU Presidency. The webinar will be broadcast online from 17:00-18:00 CET.
Tilde has released a new and improved machine translation (MT) plug-in for SDL Trados Studio, which supports versions 2009-2015. The plug-in allows SDL Trados Studio users to access their Tilde MT systems, significantly boosting translation efficiency and productivity.

Developed by Tilde for the Latvian public sector, Hugo.lv provides automatic translation of texts, documents, and websites from Latvian to English and vice versa, as well as from Latvian to Russian.
The 20th NODALIDA conference takes place in Vilnius, Lithuania on May 11-13th. Tilde researchers Askars Salimbajevs and Jevgenijs Strigins will participate with a lecture and a stand titled "Using sub-word n-gram models for dealing with OOV in large vocabulary speech recognition for Latvian".

On April 16, the Latvian Presidency hosted the meeting of the Research Working Party of the Council of the European Union, which took place back-to-back with the 26th Plenary Meeting of the European Research Area and Innovation Committee (ERAC). Participants from 43 countries worked in two sessions, focusing on innovation policy and development of the European Research Area (ERA) roadmap.
The European language community urges the European Commission to provide equal treatment for all EU languages in the digital age. In an open letter, which has gathered over 1,800 signatures since last Friday evening, the community is petitioning the College of Commissioners to address the multilingual challenge in Europe.
The EU Presidency Translator kiosk will be on display at CeBIT 2015, the world’s largest IT and digital business exhibition, in Hannover, Germany, from May 16-20. The machine translation kiosk was specially developed by Tilde for the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, hosted by Latvia in 2015.
The EU Presidency Translator is located at the Latvian National Pavilion in the International Business Area (Hall 6, booth B48).
